Giving Back to the Community really works and Makes You Feel Good

Savannah, GA – May 18, 2011 - Increased participation in the local community is not only the right thing to do but lets local citizens know you care and are willing to help others. "Lawyers are People Too".

Savannah Personal Injury Attorney Howard Spiva is an active community leader. He founded “Justice 4 Children Foundation” 12 years ago with the stated goal of preventing children accidents. According to Howard “all children accidents can be avoided”. As part of the foundation's active community involvement, the JFCF team has given away FREE bike helmets to local children. Howard is also a teacher and when he is not involved with the foundation work, he can be seen at the Downtown YMCA teaching Karate. His Savannah Sharks has become an award-winning group of young people. Howard teaches Karate but his real purpose is to show that discipline, commitment and team work is about growing up and being proud of yourself and your heritage.

Howard's comment “I like being an lawyer, it has been a great career decision for me and I have been fortunate to have super legal professionals and family members join me to grow the firm and help those who need legal representation. Through the 25 years of practice, I have personally witnessed a number of children related injuries that caused me really think about what I could do to prevent these unnecessary injuries. As a result of a lot of research and work, I founded Justice 4 Children Foundation. And, for me and our foundation board members we have happiness and fulfillment by doing our part in the community to help our children”. “Is there any better reward than that?”.

Obviously, his work in the community is also be recognized and in 2011 he has been recognized by the Savannah Bar Associations, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Justice Robert Benham State Bar of Georgia and WTOC Hometown Hero.
