Charity Chili Cook-Off for Children

Savannah chili chefs show off their recipes for a good cause

Chili chefs in the Savannah area gathered to show off their recipes while raising money for a good cause.

The Justice for Children foundation held it’s annual "Chili Cook-off" Saturday.
People from all over Savannah came out with different types of chili hoping to win top prize.

The event raised money for the Head in Helmets campaign. The organization has been giving helmets to children for over 10 years.

The first place winner was Sabrina from Savannah Real Estate.

Our own Don Logana, Cyreia Sandlin, Jamie Ertle and Cristina Tuso helped judge the cook-off.

The Justice For Children Foundation as a non-profit is primarily concerned with preventing brain injuries to children.

We provide FREE helmets to families to protect children in car wrecks.
A child in a car safety seat is about the only activity remaining in America where head gear is not provided.

Everyone else bull riders, karate participants, race car drivers, skaters, bicyclist, football players... they all wear helmets.

We want kids to know that Helmets are cool!

Children’s head injuries are no accident!
